The "YUGAHU SHIMAI" series
I believe that one of the origins of art lies in ritual vessels and offerings.
I have named the series "YUGAHU SHIMA" as "Yoroshiro," a device for inviting the gods in our modern life.
Yugafu" is an Okinawan word meaning an ideal world where Maitreya appears, and "Yugafushima" means an island of celebration where such gods and immortals gather.
Many offerings to the gods around the world are made in the shape of a sacred island or mountain, piled high as a device to invite the gods to come to the sky.
The "YUGAHUSHIMA" series follows this pattern, with the whorls of fine porcelain and porcelain layers below the surface of the water, and the accumulation of flowers, fruits, and tubular forms representing life force above the water, forming a single illusory "island" that evokes a sacred island where deities gather, like Mount Horai or Hodagakure.
The white snake, which is believed to be a messenger of the gods, is also a symbol of the sacredness and wisdom of the snake as an animal since ancient times, the rebirth of life and eternity through shedding of the skin, and the respect for water and water sources as the god of water, as well as a lucky charm to bring in money, which is associated with the cyclical nature symbolized by water.

世果報島シリーズ
私は、芸術の原点のひとつは、祭器や供物などにあると考えています。
このシリーズ「YUGAHU SHIMA」は、現代の生活に神を招き入れるための装置依り代として作られています。
「世果報」（ゆがふ）とは沖縄の言葉で、弥勒菩薩が出現する理想郷を意味し、「ゆがふ島」はそうした神々や仙人が集う聖なる島を意味します。
世界中の神々への供物は、神々を天空に招く装置として、聖なる島や山を模して高く積まれるものが多くあります。
世果報島シリーズもその流れを汲み、水面下には微細な磁器の渦と磁器層、水面上には生命力を表す花や実、筒状の形態が集積し、一つの幻の「島」となって、蓬莱山や補陀落といった神々が集まる聖地を思わせる形となりました。
この作品の重要なモチーフである神の使いとされる白蛇には、古来より動物としての蛇の神聖さや知恵、脱皮による生命の再生や永遠性、水の神として水や水源への敬意、水に象徴される循環性から金運を呼び込む縁起物としての意味も込められています。
